Customize or remove

Please read Customize the sidebar first. Now you know that the ‘Widgets ready’ box is part of the template file sidebar.php. You can do one of two things:

1. Remove the whole box and use widgets only
2. Customize the existing box and type over my text with something that works for your site

In the file sidebar.php you find the ‘Widgets ready’ box between two comment lines. The first one reads ’start of above widget range section…’, the second reads ‘end of above widget range section…’.

Delete everything between the comment lines and the box is gone. If you want to keep a box but with different text, just change the text and the links.

OK, OK, with hindsight I have to admit that I could have done a better job and chosen clearer comments. I say that, because over the last couple of weeks I found quite a lot of sites which use the Drikatruu Jelly template but which did not remove the ‘Widgets ready’ box. Since that box only makes sense on the Drikatruu site, I assume that my explanations on how to remove or change it were … not clear enough.
