You need WordPress 2.1 with the widget plugin or WordPress 2.2 (comes with built-in widget support) to be able to use drag-and-drop type editing fuctionality for some page elements.

Drikatruu Jelly 1.1w  Comes with widget support and has been tested for the two latest versions of WordPress: 2.1 and 2.2. Super easy to customize (with your own logo for example) with commented template files and instructions on this site. UPDATE: Drikatruu Jelly 1.1w has been tested on WordPress 2.3.1 and works without problems.
