Analyze your stats
The quickest way
The control panel of your hosting company has a stat function - I never saw a provider who did not have one and the ones recommended here sure have stats. Actually every time a user (or a search engine) visits your site, the computer on which your site is hosted, automatically creates a log entry with plenty of data: what did your visitor look at, where did he or she come from (it’s called the ‘referrer’) and plenty of background information (country, language, operating system, browser and much more). Go carefully through your stats. It is fun and it tells you what your visitors are looking for. The stats also tell you, where you lose your visitors… excellent feedback to help improve your site.
The best way
Get a Google Analytics account. It collects principally the same information as above, but gives you much greater help in analyzing data. It has a nifty graphical interface, is very powerful - many professionals use it - and, like most things recommended on Drikatruu - it is free. Here is the link to get a free account. Once your application is processed, you will receive a few lines of code, which you need to copy paste into your footer.php file. I have marked the best place in the file so just open it, copy the analytics code in there, save, upload, done. Now you are ready to check your stats through the Google Analytics interface. It will blow you away.
